Sensitive Events & Crisis Misinformation Policy

This policy explains how Vibble handles content related to wars, natural disasters, terror attacks, and public-health emergencies, with a focus on reducing harmful misinformation.

1. Definition of Sensitive Events

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Armed conflicts, terrorism, and mass violence.
  • Earthquakes, floods, storms, and large-scale disasters.
  • Pandemics and significant public-health emergencies.
  • Mass casualty events or major civic emergencies.

2. Prohibited Crisis Content

Vibble may remove or restrict content that:

  • Denies or trivializes real-world tragedies in a way that harms victims or survivors.
  • Spreads demonstrably false emergency instructions that put people at risk.
  • Targets affected communities with harassment or hate during crises.
  • Encourages violence, looting, or exploitation in the context of a disaster.

3. Misinformation Controls

For crisis-related misinformation, Vibble may:

  • Apply labels with contextual information or links to authoritative sources.
  • Down-rank or limit distribution of unverified crisis content.
  • Remove content where harm is imminent or severe.

4. Monetization & Sensitive Events

We may disable monetization on crisis-related content, particularly when commercial gain from tragedy is in tension with human suffering or public safety.

5. Reporting Crisis Misinformation

Users can report crisis-related misinformation via report tools using appropriate categories (e.g., “Misinformation” or “Sensitive Event”).
