API Terms of Use

1. Purpose & Scope

ReelCiety provides application programming interfaces (“APIs”) to enable approved developers and partners to build integrations, tools, services, and research applications that interact with ReelCiety’s platform. These Terms define the legal, technical, and ethical conditions under which such access is granted.

By accessing or using the ReelCiety API, you agree to be bound by these Terms, all applicable ReelCiety policies, and any additional agreements executed with Nexa-Group.

2. Eligibility & Developer Accounts

API access is limited to individuals and entities that:

• Maintain a valid and verified ReelCiety developer account.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform policies.
• Have not been suspended, banned, or restricted by ReelCiety or Nexa-Group.

Nexa-Group reserves the right to approve, deny, revoke, or modify API access at its sole discretion.

3. Permitted Uses

Subject to compliance with these Terms, developers may use the API solely for:

• Building user-authorized features that enhance the ReelCiety experience.
• Analytics, research, or insights using aggregated or anonymized data.
• Content publishing, scheduling, and moderation tools.
• Accessibility, safety, and compliance-related integrations.

4. Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-exporting user data without authorization.
• Surveillance, profiling, or tracking of individuals across services.
• Political manipulation, influence campaigns, or voter targeting.
• Training AI or machine-learning models using personal data without consent.
• Re-identification of anonymized or aggregated datasets.
• Any use that violates ReelCiety’s Safety, Privacy, or Content policies.

5. Authentication & Access Controls

API access requires secure authentication using keys, tokens, or OAuth mechanisms provided by ReelCiety. Developers must:

• Keep credentials confidential and secure.
• Never embed secrets in client-side code.
• Rotate keys and tokens if compromise is suspected.
• Immediately report unauthorized access.

6. Rate Limits & Usage Restrictions

API usage is subject to rate limits, quotas, and throttling mechanisms to ensure platform stability and fairness. ReelCiety may:

• Enforce per-endpoint or per-application limits.
• Apply temporary or permanent restrictions.
• Modify limits without prior notice.

7. Data Handling & Privacy

Developers must handle all data in accordance with:

• ReelCiety Privacy Policy and GDPR/CCPA requirements.
• User consent and authorization scopes.
• Strict data minimization and retention principles.

Data obtained through the API may not be sold, licensed, or shared with third parties except as explicitly permitted.

8. Security Obligations

Developers are responsible for implementing industry-standard security measures, including:

• Encryption in transit and at rest.
• Access logging and monitoring.
• Incident detection and response procedures.

9. Monitoring, Audits & Enforcement

Nexa-Group may monitor API usage to ensure compliance. This may include audits, technical reviews, or requests for documentation. Non-compliance may result in:

• Suspension or termination of API access.
• Revocation of developer credentials.
• Legal action or regulatory reporting where required.

10. Suspension & Termination

ReelCiety may suspend or terminate API access at any time for security, compliance, operational, or legal reasons, with or without notice.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The API is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nexa-Group disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexa-Group and ReelCiety shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from API use.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Nexa-Group’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
