Law Enforcement Request Guide

1. Purpose & Scope

ReelCiety is committed to protecting user privacy while complying with valid legal obligations. This Guide is intended for law enforcement, prosecutors, courts, regulators, and authorized government entities seeking information related to ReelCiety accounts or content.

It does not apply to private individuals or civil litigants. All requests must follow formal legal processes.

Nexa-Group adheres to the following principles when handling government requests:

3. Types of Requests We Process

• Emergency life-threatening requests

4. Emergency Requests

Emergency requests are limited to situations involving imminent risk of death or serious physical harm. These requests must include:

• A clear description of the emergency
• Relevant account identifiers
• Official government contact information
• Legal authority supporting the request

Emergency disclosures are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. Preservation Requests

Law enforcement may request temporary preservation of data pending formal legal process. Preservation does not grant access to content and does not extend retention beyond legal limits.

6. Required Request Elements

All requests must include:

• Issuing authority and jurisdiction
• Legal basis (statute, court order, warrant)
• Specific account identifiers (usernames, URLs)
• Timeframe and scope of requested data
• Authorized official signature or verification

7. Invalid or Rejected Requests

ReelCiety will reject requests that are:

• Overly broad or vague
• Issued without proper authority
• Inconsistent with applicable law
• Seeking bulk or mass surveillance data
• In conflict with international human rights standards

8. User Notification

Where legally permitted, ReelCiety will notify affected users of government requests. Notification may be delayed or withheld if prohibited by law or court order.

9. Data Retention & Disclosure Limits

Data is disclosed only to the extent required by valid legal process. ReelCiety does not provide direct access to its systems or databases.

10. International Requests

Requests from foreign authorities must comply with applicable treaties, mutual legal assistance agreements (MLATs), or recognized international legal mechanisms.

11. Recordkeeping & Audits

Nexa-Group maintains internal records of law enforcement requests for accountability, auditing, and transparency reporting purposes.

12. Transparency Reporting

Aggregate data about government requests may be published in periodic transparency reports without identifying individual users.
