Impersonation & Verification Policy
This Impersonation & Verification Policy explains how Vexor, operated by Nexa Group, protects users against identity abuse, handles impersonation claims, and manages official verification badges for creators, brands, and public figures.
1. Purpose & Scope
Vexor is committed to maintaining a trustworthy environment where users can clearly distinguish between authentic accounts, fan/parody accounts, and malicious impersonators. This policy:
- Defines what constitutes impersonation on Vexor.
- Establishes rules for parody, commentary, and fan accounts.
- Describes eligibility and processes for official verification badges.
- Outlines how users can report impersonation and appeal decisions.
This policy applies to all Vexor users, including individuals, brands, creators, businesses, and public institutions, across all regions where Vexor operates.
2. What Counts as Impersonation?
Impersonation occurs when a user deliberately misleads others into believing they are another person, organization, or brand. It includes, but is not limited to:
- Using someone else’s real name, likeness, or identity without authorization.
- Posing as a celebrity, influencer, journalist, public official, or public figure.
- Creating fake accounts for brands, companies, media organizations, or institutions.
- Using stolen or scraped profile photos, logos, or branding assets.
- Using usernames that strongly imply official affiliation (e.g., “official”, “support”, “real”) when no such affiliation exists.
- Claiming to be a member of Vexor staff, moderators, safety team, or support team.
- Operating lookalike accounts for the purpose of fraud, scams, or acquiring money, gifts, login credentials, or personal data.
Intentional impersonation is considered a severe violation. Such behavior may lead to immediate removal of content, account suspension, or permanent bans, and in some cases, may be escalated to law enforcement or rights holders.
3. Prohibited Account Types
The following types of accounts are strictly prohibited on Vexor:
- Fake celebrity or influencer accounts claiming to be the real individual.
- Accounts pretending to be government agencies, law enforcement, or regulatory bodies.
- Accounts claiming to be official news organizations, public institutions, or NGOs without authorization.
- Accounts impersonating Vexor, Nexa Group, or their staff, moderators, and support teams.
- Accounts using stolen photographs, deepfakes, or AI-generated replicas of real people designed to mislead.
- Accounts mimicking real creators by adding minor modifications (e.g.,
@RealAmandavs.@Real_AmandaOfficial) to confuse users.
When such accounts are identified, Vexor may remove them without prior warning, especially where there is clear risk of harm, fraud, or reputational damage to the impersonated party.
4. Allowed Parody, Fan & Commentary Accounts
Vexor recognizes the importance of parody, fan culture, and commentary in online expression. These accounts are allowed only if they are transparent and non-misleading.
To be compliant, such accounts must:
- Clearly identify as “parody”, “fan”, “satire”, or “unofficial” in the bio.
- Not falsely claim to be the actual person, brand, or organization.
- Avoid usernames that suggest official status (e.g.,
@BrandNameFanPagemay be acceptable, but@BrandNameOfficialis not). - Not solicit money, gifts, or personal data by pretending to be the real person or brand.
If Vexor determines that a parody or fan account is not clearly labeled or is confusing users, we may require changes to the profile (bio, username, imagery) or apply restrictions or removal.
5. Official Verification Badge
The Vexor verification badge is a visual indicator that an account represents the genuine person, creator, brand, or organization it claims to represent. Verification:
- Confirms authenticity of identity, not quality of content.
- Does not imply that Vexor endorses the account or its views.
- Helps users distinguish real accounts from impostors, fan accounts, or parody profiles.
Vexor reserves the right to determine verification eligibility and to adjust verification criteria over time.
6. Verification Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for verification, an account must generally meet the following:
- Authenticity: The account must represent a real person, brand, or registered entity. Legal name or corporate documentation must match the information supplied.
- Notability: The individual or entity should have a meaningful public presence (e.g., creator, artist, public figure, business, media, or recognized organization).
- Compliance: No recent serious violations of Community Guidelines, Safety policies, or Terms of Service.
- Profile Completeness: A clear profile photo, bio, and consistent handle/username that matches the identity being verified.
- Uniqueness: Only one verified account per identity, unless otherwise permitted for multi-regional or official sub-brand accounts.
- Identity Verification: Successful completion of identity verification (e.g., government ID for individuals, official documents for businesses).
Meeting these criteria does not guarantee verification; all decisions are subject to Vexor’s discretion and platform risk considerations.
7. Verification Application Process
Users can apply for verification through Vexor’s in-app verification flow:
- Open the app and navigate to Settings → Account → Request Verification.
- Provide identity information (legal name, entity name, and contact details).
- Upload government-issued ID (for individuals) or official business registration documents (for brands/organizations).
- Optionally submit links demonstrating public presence, such as:
- Official website or landing page.
- Media articles or press coverage.
- Verified profiles on other platforms.
- Submit the request for review.
Processing times may vary due to volume and complexity of requests. Typical review windows can range from a few days up to several weeks.
8. Reasons Verification May Be Denied
Vexor may deny verification for any of the following reasons (non-exhaustive):
- Identity cannot be reliably verified with the documentation provided.
- The account lacks sufficient public presence or relevance.
- The profile contains misleading, harmful, or policy-violating content.
- The username or branding infringes trademarks or creates brand confusion.
- The account is incomplete, inactive, or has little meaningful activity.
- Recent or unresolved violations of Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
- Evidence of falsified, edited, or manipulated documents.
Denial of verification does not automatically indicate misconduct; it may simply mean that the account does not yet meet the required threshold or documentation standards.
9. Loss or Revocation of Verification Badge
Verified accounts may lose their badge if:
- The account identity, username, or branding changes significantly without re-verification.
- The account is sold, transferred, or managed by unauthorized third parties.
- The account engages in impersonation, coordinated abuse, or deceptive practices.
- Severe or repeated violations of Vexor policies occur (e.g., hate, harassment, fraud).
- The account becomes inactive for an extended period or appears abandoned.
In some cases, badge revocation may be temporary pending review or may result in permanent removal of verification privileges.
10. Reporting Impersonation & Fake Accounts
