This Age Verification Policy explains how Vibble verifies user age, enforces age-based restrictions, and protects minors in compliance with youth-protection laws.
1. Minimum Age Requirements
- Under 13: Not allowed to use Vibble. Accounts may be disabled.
- 13–15: Limited features, stricter privacy, reduced discoverability.
- 16–17: Expanded access with ongoing safety protections.
- 18+: Full access to monetization, certain content types, and advanced features.
2. Verification Methods
Vibble may use a combination of:
- Self-declared birthdate at sign-up.
- Device and app-store age classifications.
- Behavioral signals indicating underage use.
- Government ID verification for monetization or disputed cases.
- Parental or guardian confirmation where legally required.
3. Age-Based Feature Controls
Examples of age-based restrictions include:
- No direct monetization features for users under 18.
- Limited messaging and interaction for users under 16.
- Reduced exposure in trends and recommendations for minor accounts.
- Stricter content filtering and sensitive-media controls.
4. Handling Suspected Underage Accounts
If Vibble reasonably believes an account belongs to a user below the permitted age:
- The account may be temporarily restricted or disabled.
- Proof of age may be requested via secure verification channels.
- Failure to provide proof may result in permanent removal.
5. Parental & Guardian Requests
Parents or legal guardians may request review, restriction, or deletion of an underage child’s account where permitted by law.
