Harassment & Bullying Policy

1. Policy Objective

Friendium is designed for authentic human interaction. Harassment and bullying undermine trust, cause psychological harm, and drive users away from meaningful participation. This policy establishes clear boundaries and enforcement standards to ensure Friendium remains a respectful and safe environment.

2. Scope & Applicability

This policy applies to all users, accounts, content, and interactions on Friendium, including:

• Public posts, comments, and reactions
• Private messages and group conversations
• Profile information and usernames
• Events, groups, pages, and community spaces
• Off-platform conduct used to coordinate on-platform harassment

3. Definition of Harassment

Harassment includes any behavior intended to target, intimidate, degrade, shame, threaten, or silence another person. This includes both single severe incidents and repeated patterns of behavior.

4. Prohibited Harassment Behaviors

• Insults, name-calling, or degrading language
• Persistent unwanted messages or contact
• Threats of harm, violence, or retaliation
• Mocking or humiliating individuals
• Sexual harassment or coercive language
• Harassment based on personal traits or identity
• Dogpiling or coordinated harassment campaigns
• Encouraging others to harass a target

5. Bullying & Power Imbalance

Bullying involves repeated aggressive behavior where there is a real or perceived power imbalance. On Friendium, this may include:

• Targeting minors or vulnerable individuals
• Using social influence to silence or intimidate
• Public shaming or humiliation campaigns
• Manipulating groups or communities against a user

6. Severity-Based Enforcement

Friendium applies severity-based enforcement. Factors considered include:

• Credibility of threats
• Frequency and persistence
• Target vulnerability
• Use of real-world identifying information
• Prior enforcement history

7. Real-Identity Accountability

Because Friendium operates as a real-identity platform, harassment is treated with heightened seriousness. Users are accountable for their conduct and may not hide behind anonymity or alternate personas.

8. Context & Allowed Expression

Friendium allows:

• Respectful disagreement and debate
• Criticism of ideas, actions, or public behavior
• Reporting harmful conduct
• Satirical or contextual commentary without targeting individuals

However, intent to harm, intimidate, or silence outweighs claims of humor or opinion.

9. Reporting Harassment

Users are encouraged to report harassment promptly. Reports may be submitted via:

• In-platform reporting tools
• Safety escalation channels
• Group or page administrators

10. Protective Measures

Friendium may implement protective measures including:

• Content removal
• Temporary communication restrictions
• Blocking or muting assistance
• Account warnings or suspensions
• Permanent account removal

11. Appeals Process

Users may appeal harassment-related enforcement through Friendium’s Appeals System. Appeals are reviewed based on evidence, context, and policy alignment.

12. Cooperation With Authorities

Credible threats of violence, stalking, or severe harassment may be escalated to law enforcement in accordance with Friendium’s Law Enforcement Request Guide and applicable laws.

13. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated to address emerging harassment patterns, legal obligations, or platform risks. Continued use of Friendium constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
