AI-Generated Media / Deepfake Policy

1. Definition of Synthetic Media

“Synthetic Media” includes any content significantly produced or modified by automated systems, such as:

• AI-generated images, avatars, or artwork.
• Deepfake videos and face-swapped footage.
• Voice cloning or AI-generated speech imitating real individuals.
• AI-created or heavily altered video/audio of real people.

2. Disclosure Requirements

Creators must make clear when content is synthetic or heavily manipulated:

• Include labels such as “AI-generated”, “Simulated”, or “Parody Deepfake” in captions or on-screen.
• Do not present synthetic content as authentic footage of real-world events.
• Vibble may apply additional badges or labels where automated detection suggests AI involvement.

3. Prohibited Uses of Synthetic Media

Synthetic media may not be used to:

• Exploit, sexualize, or abuse real persons, especially minors.
• Fabricate realistic footage of individuals committing crimes or immoral acts they did not commit.
• Spread harmful health, crisis, or election misinformation using realistic deepfake content.
• Impersonate individuals for fraud, harassment, or political manipulation.

4. Public Figures, Elections & Civic Contexts

Special rules apply to synthetic media involving public figures:

• Deepfakes of politicians or government officials must be clearly satirical or parodic and labeled as such.
• Deceptive deepfakes that mislead voters about statements, actions, or events are prohibited.
• During election periods, detection and enforcement thresholds are stricter for political synthetic media.

5. Detection & Moderation

Vibble uses:

• AI-based synthetic media detection models.
• Image and video forensics tools.
• Human review of flagged content, especially in political or crisis contexts.

Confirmed malicious synthetic media may be removed, labeled, or down-ranked.

6. Enforcement & Penalties

Violations of this policy can result in:

• Mandatory labeling or visibility reduction for borderline content.
• Content removal for deceptive or harmful synthetic media.
• Account restrictions, including posting limits or suspensions, for repeated or high-impact misuse.
• Permanent bans and potential referral to authorities in cases of fraud, blackmail, or severe harm.

7. User Reporting

Users can report suspected synthetic or manipulated media through in-app tools using reasons such as:

• “Misleading or manipulated media”.
• “Election misinformation”.
• “Harassment / Deepfake impersonation”.
