ReelCiety Account Deletion & Deactivation Policy
This Account Deletion & Deactivation Policy explains how users may temporarily deactivate or permanently delete their ReelCiety accounts, how associated data is handled, and how Nexa-Group balances user rights with legal, security, and platform integrity obligations.
1. Purpose & Scope
ReelCiety recognizes the right of users to control their digital presence. This policy governs voluntary account deactivation and permanent deletion, outlining consequences, timelines, data handling practices, and exceptions required by law or safety considerations.
This policy applies to all ReelCiety accounts, including personal, creator, business, and monetized accounts.
2. Difference Between Deactivation and Deletion
ReelCiety provides two distinct account control options:
- Account Deactivation: A reversible action that temporarily disables account visibility and interactions.
- Account Deletion: A permanent action that initiates irreversible removal of personal data and content, subject to legal retention requirements.
3. Account Deactivation
When an account is deactivated:
- The profile becomes invisible to other users
- Content is hidden but not deleted
- Followers and interactions are preserved
- Login access is restricted
Deactivated accounts may be reactivated by logging back in within the allowed deactivation window.
4. Account Deletion
Account deletion is a permanent action. Upon confirmation:
- The account enters a deletion grace period
- Profile data is scheduled for removal
- Public content is removed from visibility
- Reactivation is no longer possible after completion
5. Deletion Grace Period
To prevent accidental loss, ReelCiety applies a grace period (typically 14–30 days) during which deletion requests may be canceled by the account owner. After this period, deletion proceeds automatically.
6. Data Handling & Retention
Following deletion:
- Personal profile data is erased or anonymized
- Uploaded media is removed from public systems
- Messages are deleted or anonymized where feasible
- Backups are purged according to retention schedules
Certain data may be retained where legally required, including:
- Financial transaction records
- Fraud prevention logs
- Law enforcement preservation requests
- Safety and abuse investigation records
7. Content Shared With Other Users
Content that has been reshared, commented on, or embedded by other users may persist in limited forms, stripped of personal identifiers, where necessary to preserve platform integrity or third-party rights.
8. Monetized & Business Accounts
Accounts participating in monetization programs must:
- Resolve outstanding balances
- Complete payout settlements
- Close active subscriptions or sponsorships
Deletion may be delayed until financial and contractual obligations are resolved.
9. Enforcement & Restricted Deletions
ReelCiety may restrict deletion or delay execution when:
- An account is under active investigation
- Legal preservation requests exist
- There is evidence of abuse, fraud, or harm
- Deletion would obstruct legal obligations
10. Impersonation & Fraud Prevention
Accounts suspected of impersonation or coordinated abuse may be retained temporarily for evidentiary and enforcement purposes even after a deletion request is submitted.
11. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Backing up desired data prior to deletion
- Canceling third-party integrations
- Understanding that deletion is irreversible
12. Policy Updates
Nexa-Group may update this policy to reflect legal developments or changes in platform operations. Updates take effect upon publication.
