This Direct Messaging Safety Policy governs the use of private messaging, message requests, replies, reactions, and related interaction features on ReelCiety. It establishes safeguards designed to prevent harassment, abuse, exploitation, fraud, and unlawful conduct while protecting user privacy and platform integrity.

1. Purpose & Scope

Direct messaging on ReelCiety enables private communication between users. While this feature supports creativity, collaboration, and community engagement, it also carries elevated risk for harassment, coercion, exploitation, scams, and abuse. This policy defines acceptable use, prohibited conduct, enforcement mechanisms, and safety protections applicable to all messaging-related features.

This policy applies to:

  • Private messages and message requests
  • Replies and reactions in private conversations
  • Attachments, links, images, videos, and audio shared via messages
  • Automated or scripted messaging behavior
  • Messaging between users, creators, businesses, and brands

2. Messaging Eligibility & Access Controls

ReelCiety may restrict or condition access to direct messaging features based on account age, activity history, verification status, or safety signals. Certain users, including minors, may be subject to additional limitations.

  • Message requests may be enabled or disabled by recipients
  • Unknown senders may be placed in filtered request queues
  • Messaging privileges may be suspended for policy violations

3. Prohibited Conduct in Direct Messages
