Vibble Threads, Long Posts & Quote Posts Policy
This policy defines how extended content formats – including threads, long posts, and quote posts – should be used on Vibble, and how manipulative or abusive use is handled.
1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Multi-post threads created to explore a topic in depth.
- Long-form posts (where supported) that exceed standard character limits.
- Quote posts that attach commentary to another user’s post.
2. Responsible Use of Threads & Long Posts
Threads and long posts are intended for:
- In-depth analysis, reporting, or storytelling.
- Contextualized commentary on news, research, or events.
- Educational or explanatory content.
Misuse includes:
- Low-value spam threads repeating the same content for reach.
- Thread “farming” designed only to drive engagement without substance.
- Coordinated harassment against an individual across a thread or series.
3. Quote Posts & Context Integrity
Quote posts allow users to respond while embedding another post. Abusive uses include:
- Encouraging harassment against the original author (“dogpiling”).
- Misrepresenting the original post by removing key context.
- Adding defamatory or knowingly false claims above a quoted post.
Vibble may restrict or remove quote posts where clear, harmful misrepresentation is present.
4. Targeted Harassment via Threads & Quotes
Threads and quote posts may not be used to:
- Organize harassment campaigns against individuals or groups.
- Instruct followers to attack, threaten, or mass-report specific users.
- Repeatedly revive old conflicts for the purpose of humiliation.
5. Algorithmic Treatment & Throttling
Vibble’s systems may:
- Down-rank threads and quote posts that are repeatedly reported for harassment or misinformation.
- Limit the distribution of threads from accounts with ongoing policy violations.
- Exclude certain threads from recommendations or trending modules.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may lead to:
- Removal of individual posts within a thread.
- Limitation on the ability to create new threads or use quote-post features.
- Account warnings, temporary restrictions, or suspension.
7. Appeals & Support
If you believe a thread or quote post was removed or limited in error:
- Submit an appeal explaining the context and purpose of your content.
- Provide additional information if it involves satire, journalism, or public-interest reporting.
