1. Purpose & Scope

ReelCiety allows users to repost or remix content to foster creativity, commentary, and cultural participation. However, misuse of these features can lead to harassment, impersonation, copyright infringement, or exploitation. This policy applies to:

• Reposts or reshares of existing content
• Remixes, duets, and side-by-side formats
• Audio reuse or transformation
• Visual sampling, stitching, or overlays
• Template-based collaborative content

2. Creator Consent & Control

Original creators retain control over whether their content may be reposted or remixed. ReelCiety provides tools allowing creators to:

• Disable reposting or remixing entirely
• Restrict remixing to approved followers
• Limit remix use to non-commercial purposes
• Remove remix permissions retroactively

Circumventing creator controls is considered a policy violation.

3. Attribution & Credit Requirements

All reposted or remixed content must maintain clear attribution to the original creator. Attribution may not be removed, obscured, or misleading. This includes:

• Preserving usernames and profile references
• Maintaining original metadata where possible
• Not implying original authorship of derivative content

• Graphic or disturbing imagery

6. Commentary, Criticism & Fair Use

ReelCiety recognizes legitimate commentary, criticism, parody, and transformative use. However, such uses must:

• Add meaningful new context or expression
• Avoid harassment or defamation
• Comply with applicable copyright law
• Respect individual dignity and safety

7. Monetization & Commercial Restrictions

Monetization of reposted or remixed content is restricted. Creators may not:

• Monetize content they do not own without permission
• Use remixes for undisclosed advertising
• Exploit another creator’s content for profit

Violations may result in demonetization or account penalties.

8. Algorithmic Distribution Controls

Remix and repost content may be subject to additional ranking controls. ReelCiety may:

• Limit recommendation reach
• Downrank low-effort or spam-like remixes
• Restrict viral amplification of sensitive material

9. Reporting & Takedowns

Users and creators may report misuse of repost or remix features. Reports may result in:

• Immediate content removal
• Revocation of remix permissions
• Account strikes or suspensions
• Copyright enforcement actions

10. Enforcement Actions

Enforcement is proportional to severity and may include:

• Warnings or educational notices
• Feature restrictions
• Temporary account suspensions
• Permanent account bans

11. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

This policy aligns with international copyright law, digital services regulations, child protection statutes, and consumer protection requirements.

12. Policy Updates

ReelCiety may update repost and remix rules to address evolving creator tools, legal requirements, or misuse patterns.
