Direct messaging systems are frequently targeted for spam, fraud, phishing, harassment, and malicious automation. ReelCiety implements strict DM rate limits and behavioral analysis to reduce abuse while allowing meaningful private communication between users.

This policy applies to:

  • Direct messages between users
  • Message requests from non-followers
  • Group messages
  • Media attachments and links sent via DMs
  • Automated or scripted messaging behavior

3. Rate Limiting Framework

ReelCiety enforces dynamic DM rate limits based on multiple factors, including account age, prior behavior, verification status, and recipient interaction.
