Friendium Law Enforcement Request Guide

This Law Enforcement Request Guide explains how government authorities, law enforcement agencies, regulators, and courts may submit lawful requests for information related to the Friendium platform, operated by Nexa-Group.

1. Scope & Purpose

Friendium is committed to respecting user privacy, freedom of expression, and due process while complying with valid legal obligations. This guide outlines the procedures, requirements, and limitations applicable to requests for user data, content, account information, or preservation.

2. Eligible Requesting Authorities

Friendium will only process requests submitted by:

  • Recognized law enforcement agencies
  • Judicial authorities and courts
  • Regulators with statutory investigative powers
  • Prosecutors and government ministries acting within legal authority

3. Jurisdictional Requirements

Requests must be issued under the laws of a jurisdiction that has authority over the subject matter or is supported by appropriate international legal mechanisms, such as:

  • Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLATs)
  • Letters rogatory
  • Applicable cross-border data access laws

4. Types of Requests

Friendium may respond to the following request categories, subject to law:

  • Subscriber information
  • Account registration data
  • Basic metadata (timestamps, IP logs where legally permitted)
  • Preservation requests
  • Content removal orders

5. Content Disclosure Limitations

Friendium does not voluntarily disclose private content. Access to private messages or restricted data requires a valid court order, warrant, or equivalent legal authorization.

6. Preservation Requests

Law enforcement may request preservation of data to prevent deletion. Preservation requests must:

  • Be time-limited
  • Identify specific accounts or content
  • Be followed by formal legal process

7. Emergency Requests

In cases involving imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, Friendium may review emergency disclosure requests. Such requests must:

  • Clearly describe the emergency
  • Identify the affected account(s)

8. Verification & Authentication

All requests are subject to verification of authenticity, authority, and scope. Friendium may reject or seek clarification for any request that is incomplete, overbroad, or invalid.

9. Transparency & User Notice

Where permitted by law, Friendium may notify affected users of requests for their information. Delayed notice may apply in active investigations.

10. International Requests

Requests from foreign authorities must comply with applicable international law and cross-border data transfer requirements. Friendium does not accept informal or diplomatic requests.

11. Rejected Requests

Friendium may reject requests that:

  • Lack proper legal authority
  • Conflict with applicable law
  • Are disproportionate or vague
  • Seek information outside Friendium’s possession

12. Recordkeeping & Audits
