Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

ReelCiety is a social media platform that enables users to create, share, and interact with visual content, including photos, videos, text, audio, and related media. This Policy establishes clear rules governing ownership, licensing, use, and enforcement of intellectual property (“IP”) rights.

This Policy applies to all users, creators, organizations, advertisers, developers, and third parties accessing or using ReelCiety services.

2. Ownership of Platform Intellectual Property

All ReelCiety platform software, code, algorithms, interfaces, designs, logos, trademarks, trade dress, databases, and documentation are the exclusive property of Nexa-Group or its licensors.

Except where explicitly permitted, no portion of the platform may be copied, modified, reverse-engineered, scraped, or reused without prior written authorization.

3. User-Generated Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of original content they create and upload to ReelCiety, provided they hold all necessary rights to that content.

By uploading content, users represent and warrant that they:

• Own the content or have lawful permission to use it
• Do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or publicity rights
• Have obtained consent from any identifiable individuals

4. License Granted to ReelCiety

To operate the platform, users grant Nexa-Group a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, adapt, and format their content solely for:

• Operating and improving ReelCiety
• Content moderation and safety enforcement
• Platform distribution and display
• Backup, caching, and technical processing

This license terminates when content is deleted, subject to backup, legal retention, and enforcement requirements.

5. Prohibited Intellectual Property Violations

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Uploading copyrighted content without authorization
• Reposting content without permission or proper licensing
• Using copyrighted music, images, or videos beyond fair use
• Impersonating brands, creators, or rights holders
• Removing or altering copyright notices or watermarks

6. Trademarks & Brand Protection

ReelCiety respects trademark rights. Use of trademarks in a manner that misleads users, implies endorsement, or causes confusion is prohibited.

Verified brands and organizations may receive enhanced protection mechanisms against impersonation or misuse.

7. Reporting Copyright Infringement

Rights holders may report copyright infringement through ReelCiety’s designated DMCA process. Reports must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Location of the allegedly infringing content
• Proof of ownership or authorization
• A sworn statement of good-faith belief

8. Repeat Infringer Policy

ReelCiety maintains a repeat infringer policy in accordance with applicable law. Accounts that repeatedly violate intellectual property rights may be subject to:

• Content removal
• Feature restrictions
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination

9. Fair Use Considerations

ReelCiety evaluates fair use claims on a case-by-case basis. However, asserting fair use does not guarantee immunity from removal.

10. Counter-Notices

Users may submit counter-notices if they believe content was removed in error. Valid counter-notices must comply with legal requirements and may result in content restoration unless legal action is initiated.

11. Automation, Scraping & AI Use

Unauthorized scraping, data harvesting, or use of ReelCiety content for AI training or dataset creation without written permission is strictly prohibited.

12. Enforcement & Cooperation

Nexa-Group reserves the right to remove content, restrict accounts, and cooperate with rights holders and authorities as required by law.

13. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, technology, or platform operations. Continued use of ReelCiety constitutes acceptance.
