Threats, Violence & Extremism Policy

1. Policy Objective

Friendium is a real-identity social network. Any threat of violence, glorification of harm, or promotion of extremist ideology presents a direct risk to individuals, communities, and public safety. This policy exists to deter violence, disrupt radicalization pathways, and protect the platform from misuse.

2. Scope of Enforcement

This policy applies to all activity on Friendium, including:

• Posts, comments, replies, and captions
• Private messages and group conversations
• Profile names, photos, bios, and cover imagery
• Events, groups, pages, and community spaces
• Coordinated behavior connected to off-platform activity

3. Threats of Violence

Threats include any expression that communicates intent to cause physical harm, death, or serious injury to individuals, groups, animals, or infrastructure. Credibility is assessed based on context, specificity, and user history.

• Direct threats (“I will harm you”)
• Implicit threats (“You deserve to die”)
• Conditional threats (“If you do X, I will do Y”)
• Threats framed as jokes, hypotheticals, or role-play

4. Violent Conduct & Glorification

Friendium prohibits content that promotes, celebrates, or normalizes violence. This includes:

• Praise or justification of physical harm
• Celebration of violent crimes or perpetrators
• Graphic descriptions intended to intimidate or shock
• Calls for vigilantism or collective punishment

5. Extremism & Terrorism

Extremist activity includes support for organizations or ideologies designated as extremist, terrorist, or violent by recognized authorities. Friendium enforces this policy globally.

• Propaganda, symbols, slogans, or praise
• Recruitment, fundraising, or coordination
• Instructional material related to attacks or weapons
• Implicit endorsement through memes or coded language

6. Weapons & Tactical Content

Content that meaningfully facilitates violence is prohibited, including:

• Instructions for building or modifying weapons
• Tactical advice for committing harm
• Guides to evading law enforcement during violent acts
• Detailed attack planning or rehearsal

7. Contextual & Educational Exceptions

Limited exceptions may apply for:

• News reporting and factual documentation
• Academic, historical, or counter-extremism analysis
• Condemnation or critical discussion of violence

Even contextual content may be removed if it presents credible risk or is misused by others.

8. Imminent Threat Assessment

Friendium prioritizes imminent harm prevention. Signals such as location details, timelines, emotional distress, or prior violent behavior may trigger emergency review.

9. Enforcement Actions

• Immediate content removal
• Account suspension or permanent termination
• Restriction of messaging or posting
• Emergency escalation and preservation of evidence
• Notification to law enforcement where legally required

10. Law Enforcement & Emergency Cooperation

Friendium cooperates with law enforcement in accordance with applicable law. In life-threatening situations, data may be disclosed to prevent imminent harm.

11. Repeat Violations & Networked Abuse

Coordinated violent behavior, repeat offenses, or networked extremist activity may result in platform-wide enforcement and permanent bans.

12. User Reporting

Users are encouraged to report threats or violent content immediately. Reports are triaged by trained safety professionals.

13. Appeals

Appeals may be submitted through Friendium’s Appeals System. Decisions prioritize safety and legal obligations over user preference.

14. Regulatory Alignment

This policy aligns with counter-terrorism, online safety, and public order laws across jurisdictions. Friendium may exceed minimum legal requirements to protect users and the public.
