Fan, Parody & Commentary Account Policy

1. Purpose & Principles

ReelCiety supports creative expression, satire, and public commentary. Fan and parody accounts can enrich cultural discourse when operated transparently and responsibly. This policy exists to prevent confusion, fraud, and abuse while enabling lawful commentary and artistic expression.

2. Covered Account Types

This policy applies to accounts that:

• Celebrate or support a public figure, creator, brand, or organization
• Provide satire, parody, or humorous commentary
• Critique or analyze public figures or institutions
• Operate unofficial community or fan spaces

3. Mandatory Disclosure Requirements

All fan, parody, or commentary accounts must clearly disclose their unofficial status. Disclosures must:

• Appear in the account bio or display name
• Be immediately visible without interaction
• Use plain language (e.g., “Fan Account”, “Parody”, “Unofficial”)

4. Username & Display Name Rules

Account names must not mislead users regarding authenticity.

• Usernames must not exactly match real individuals or brands
• Minor variations intended to deceive are prohibited
• Use of “official”, “support”, or similar terms is restricted

5. Profile Images & Branding

Profile photos, banners, and branding elements must not replicate official identities. Prohibited uses include:

• Official logos without permission
• Brand-identical imagery implying authorization
• Government seals or institutional emblems

6. Content Boundaries

Fan and parody content must not:

• Mislead users into believing the account is official
• Promote scams, financial solicitation, or impersonation
• Encourage harassment or targeted abuse
• Exploit tragedies, crises, or sensitive events

7. Satire & Protected Expression

Satirical content is protected when:

• Intent is clearly humorous or critical
• Reasonable users can recognize the parody
• No deceptive intent exists

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are prohibited regardless of disclosure:

• Impersonation of emergency services or law enforcement
• Use of parody as cover for harassment or threats
• Impersonation linked to scams or financial harm
• Targeting minors or vulnerable individuals

9. Reporting Fan or Parody Accounts

Users and rights holders may report accounts believed to violate this policy. Reports should include:

• Account URL
• Description of misleading behavior
• Evidence of confusion or harm

10. Enforcement Actions

Enforcement may include:

• Mandatory profile disclosures
• Username or branding changes
• Content removal
• Temporary restrictions
• Permanent account removal

11. Repeat Violations

Accounts that repeatedly violate disclosure or impersonation rules may be subject to escalating enforcement, including permanent removal.

12. Appeals

Account holders may appeal enforcement decisions. Appeals must be submitted by the account owner and include relevant clarifications or documentation.

13. Legal & Regulatory Considerations

Nexa-Group may comply with legal orders or rights-holder requests where required under applicable law.

14. Policy Authority

ReelCiety reserves sole discretion to determine whether an account qualifies as legitimate parody or deceptive impersonation.
