Vibble Text Posting Rules

These Text Posting Rules govern how users publish posts, replies, quote-posts, and threads on Vibble. They work together with the Community Guidelines, Safety Policies, and Legal Terms of the platform.

1. Scope & Relationship to Other Policies

These rules apply to all textual content on Vibble, including:

  • Standalone posts (microblog posts)
  • Replies and reply chains
  • Quote-posts and commentary posts
  • Long-form threads and extended posts

This document must be read together with the:

  • Community Guidelines
  • Harassment & Abuse Policy
  • Hate Speech Policy
  • Threats, Violence & Extremism Policy
  • Political & Election Integrity Policies

2. Baseline Content Standards

All text content must comply with core Vibble safety and integrity standards. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, targeted abuse, coordinated pile-ons, or demeaning insults directed at individuals or groups.
  • Hate speech targeting protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
  • Threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, or incitement to illegal activity.
  • Explicit sexual content involving minors, grooming behavior, or any sexualization of minors.
  • Fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive schemes designed to obtain money, access, or data.
  • Deliberate misinformation that could cause real-world harm, especially in the context of health, safety, or elections.

3. Formatting, Links & Metadata

Vibble allows links, hashtags, mentions, and media attachments. The following rules apply:

  • Links may not primarily direct to malware, phishing pages, scams, or illegal marketplaces.
  • Hashtags may not be used to evade moderation (e.g., misspelled slurs or coded threats) in a way that violates policy.
  • Mentions (@usernames) may not be used for targeted harassment, brigading, or directing abuse toward users.
  • Users must not spoof URLs or misrepresent link destinations.

4. High-Volume Posting & Spam Prevention

To preserve platform integrity, Vibble restricts abusive high-volume activity:

  • Automated or scripted posting without authorization is prohibited.
  • Repeated identical or near-identical posts (spam) may be limited or removed.
  • Reply chains designed solely to promote products, links, or unrelated content may be throttled or sanctioned.
  • Excessive unsolicited mentions of users, brands, or public figures may constitute harassment or spam.

Accounts engaging in spam-like behavior may face rate limiting, temporary posting restrictions, or permanent enforcement actions.

5. Context, Tone & Satire

Vibble recognizes satire, commentary, and critical speech as important forms of expression. However:

  • “Jokes” or “sarcasm” are not a defense for direct threats, severe harassment, or hate speech.
  • Satirical content must not be indistinguishable from serious calls for violence or harm.
  • Accounts that repeatedly hide harmful conduct behind claims of “humor” may still face sanctions.

6. Threads, Long Posts & Context Integrity

Long-form content and threaded posts must not be used to manipulate context:

  • Do not selectively screenshot or quote text to fabricate false narratives or defamation.
  • Do not remove context to falsely attribute statements to other users.
  • When quoting or referencing third parties, you are responsible for not knowingly spreading manipulated or misleading interpretations.

7. Enforcement Actions for Text Violations

Violations of these Text Posting Rules may lead to:

  • Post removal or limitation of visibility.
  • Reply and mention restrictions.
  • Temporary posting bans or account timeouts.
  • Permanent account suspension for severe or repeated violations.

Enforcement will follow the Warning & Ban System and the broader Moderation & Enforcement Framework.

8. User Rights & Appeals

If your post or account is affected by an enforcement action under these rules, you may submit an appeal. Appeals are reviewed by trained specialists, and in some cases by escalation teams for complex or borderline issues.

For appeals and questions:

  • Appeals: appeals@vibble.org
  • Safety: safety@vibble.org
  • Support: support@vibble.org

9. Changes to These Rules

Vibble may update these Text Posting Rules to reflect new features, regulatory requirements, or emerging abuse patterns. Material changes will be documented with an updated version and “last updated” date.
