ReelCiety Unauthorized Contact & Abuse Policy
This policy defines how ReelCiety addresses unwanted contact, harassment, coercion, and abusive interaction across private messages, comments, mentions, replies, live interactions, and other communication features. It exists to protect users, creators, and brands while preserving healthy expression and engagement.
1. Purpose & Scope
ReelCiety is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment where users can interact without fear of harassment, intimidation, or exploitation. This Unauthorized Contact & Abuse Policy applies to all forms of user-to-user communication on the platform, including direct messages (DMs), comments, mentions, replies, story reactions, live chats, and any future interactive features.
This policy applies globally and is enforced in conjunction with the Community Guidelines, Harassment & Abuse Policy, Child Safety Policy, and applicable local laws.
2. Definition of Unauthorized Contact
Unauthorized contact refers to any communication initiated or continued without consent, against expressed boundaries, or in violation of ReelCiety’s safety controls. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Repeated messages after being asked to stop.
- Contact after being blocked, muted, or restricted.
- Use of alternate accounts to bypass user restrictions.
- Unsolicited sexual, explicit, or romantic messages.
- Persistent tagging, mentioning, or commenting to provoke attention.
3. Prohibited Abusive Conduct
ReelCiety strictly prohibits abusive conduct, including:
- Harassment, intimidation, or coercion.
- Threats of violence, harm, or retaliation.
- Blackmail, extortion, or manipulation.
- Hate-based harassment targeting protected characteristics.
- Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or explicit content.
- Targeted campaigns intended to overwhelm or silence users.
4. Stalking, Obsessive Behavior & Repeated Contact
Stalking-like behavior, including obsessive monitoring, repeated unsolicited messages, or attempts to track a user’s activity across the platform, is not permitted. This includes:
- Commenting on every post to force interaction.
- Repeated message requests after denial.
- Tracking location, routines, or personal relationships.
- Escalating contact across multiple features.
5. Abuse Toward Minors
Any unauthorized contact involving minors is treated with the highest priority. Prohibited behavior includes:
- Attempting to initiate private communication with minors.
- Grooming behavior or trust-building for exploitative purposes.
- Requests for personal information, images, or off-platform contact.
Violations involving minors may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
6. Circumvention of Safety Controls
Users may not bypass safety mechanisms such as blocks, message restrictions, or privacy settings. This includes:
- Creating alternate or fake accounts to reinitiate contact.
- Using third parties to relay messages.
- Exploiting platform features to evade enforcement.
7. User Safety Tools & Controls
ReelCiety provides users with tools to manage interactions, including:
- Blocking and muting users.
- Restricting message requests.
- Limiting who can comment, mention, or message.
- Reporting abusive or unwanted contact.
8. Reporting Unauthorized Contact
Users are encouraged to report violations through in-app reporting tools. Reports may include:
- Message screenshots or conversation logs.
- Links to offending accounts or content.
- Context explaining the nature of the abuse.
9. Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, ReelCiety may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warnings or educational notices.
- Temporary or permanent messaging restrictions.
- Account suspensions or permanent bans.
- Device, IP, or network-level enforcement.
- Referral to law enforcement when required.
10. Appeals
Users may appeal enforcement actions if they believe a mistake was made. Appeals are reviewed manually and must be submitted through official support channels.
11. Legal & Regulatory Considerations
ReelCiety, operated by Nexa-Group, complies with applicable harassment, stalking, and online safety laws across jurisdictions. We may disclose information when required by law or to prevent imminent harm.
