Tips, Donations & Gifts Policy
This policy explains how voluntary payments (tips, donations, and gifts) work on Vibble, and sets rules to prevent fraud, exploitation, and abuse.
1. Overview
Vibble may allow users to send voluntary financial support to creators in the form of tips, donations, or one-off gifts. These are:
- Entirely optional and initiated by supporters
- Not required to access standard Vibble features
- Subject to platform fees, payment processing costs, and applicable taxes
2. Nature of Tips & Donations
Tips and donations are generally considered gratuitous payments made to support a creator’s work. They are not:
- Payments for specific deliverables guaranteed on a one-to-one basis
- Investments or financial products
- Legally binding contracts for services unless clearly structured as such under local law
3. Eligibility to Receive Tips
To receive tips or donations, creators must:
- Be at least 18 years old or legal majority age
- Have an account in good standing
- Complete identity and payout verification (KYC/KYB)
- Comply with all monetization and community policies
4. Prohibited Uses of Tips & Donations
Tips and gifts may not be used to:
- Purchase illegal goods or services
- Facilitate harassment, doxxing, or targeted abuse
- Fund extremist, terrorist, or hate groups
- Solicit money from minors for inappropriate content or interactions
- Operate scams, Ponzi schemes, or fraudulent fundraising
5. Minors & Vulnerable Users
Creators may not actively request tips or donations from users they know or reasonably should know are minors. Content that pressures vulnerable groups into giving money may be restricted or removed.
6. Fees, Chargebacks & Adjustments
Tip amounts visible to creators represent gross or net values depending on the interface and program. Vibble and payment providers may deduct:
- Platform service fees
- Payment processor fees and currency conversion costs
- Taxes or withholding where required by law
In case of chargebacks, fraud, or payment disputes, Vibble may reverse or withhold related creator earnings.
7. Transparency & Messaging
Creators should be transparent about how tips are used when they communicate goals (e.g., “supporting my reporting,” “funding equipment upgrades”). Misleading or deceptive fundraising claims are prohibited.
8. AML, Sanctions & Compliance
Vibble monitors tip and donation flows for suspicious patterns. Where required by law, Vibble may:
- Impose limits on individual or aggregate transfers
- Request identity information from senders or recipients
- Block transfers involving sanctioned entities or high-risk jurisdictions
- Cooperate with law enforcement under proper legal process
9. Refund Policy
Tips and donations are generally non-refundable, except where:
- Local law mandates a refund window
- Payment processors grant refunds at their discretion
- Vibble, at its sole discretion, grants a refund for clear technical errors
10. Taxes & Reporting
Tips and donations may be considered taxable income for creators. Creators are responsible for maintaining appropriate records and fulfilling tax obligations.
