Vibble Sensitive Media Policy

This policy defines how Vibble handles sensitive media, including graphic, shocking, adult, and context-dependent imagery and video. It explains classification levels, labeling, distribution limits, and enforcement.

1. Scope & Media Types

This policy applies to all visual content uploaded to Vibble, including:

  • Photos, images, illustrations, screenshots
  • Short-form video and long-form video attachments
  • Animated content (GIFs, loops, motion graphics)
  • Thumbnails and preview frames generated or manually selected

2. Sensitive Media Classification Levels

Vibble uses an internal classification framework to evaluate and label sensitive content:

  • S0 – Non-sensitive: Everyday content with no safety concerns.
  • S1 – Mild sensitive: Non-graphic references to injury, mild blood, or implied adult themes.
  • S2 – Adult / Suggestive: Mature themes, non-explicit nudity, or sexual suggestion (subject to Adult Content Policy).
  • S3 – Graphic Violence: Visible injuries, blood, or violence (covered by the Graphic Violence Policy).
  • S4 – Highly Disturbing: Extreme injury, death, or likely psychological distress, even in a documentary context.
  • S5 – Prohibited Content: CSAM, sexual violence, exploitation, or any content banned under core safety policies.

3. Media That Is Always Prohibited

The following categories are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately, with accounts subject to severe enforcement:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or sexual content involving minors.
  • Sexual violence or non-consensual sexual imagery.
  • Snuff content or media created primarily to celebrate death, torture, or extreme cruelty.
  • Content specifically intended to humiliate or abuse identifiable individuals via nudity or intimate exposure.

4. Sensitive but Conditionally Allowed Media

Certain sensitive content may be allowed with restrictions when it has clear news, documentary, or public-interest value:

  • War footage and conflict-related imagery used for reporting or documentation.
  • Protest, police, or human rights documentation where violence is incidental to reporting.
  • Medical or educational imagery, when non-exploitative and contextually justified.

Such content may be:

  • Labeled as “Sensitive Media – Click to View”.
  • Hidden behind blur and interstitial screens.
  • Age-restricted or removed from general recommendations, trends, or search.

5. Thumbnails & Previews

Even when sensitive media is allowed, thumbnails and preview frames must not be graphic or explicit.

  • Graphic injuries, blood, or explicit nudity may not appear as thumbnails.
  • Vibble may automatically adjust or blur thumbnails for policy compliance.
  • Creators are responsible for not deliberately selecting shock thumbnails to drive clicks.

6. Automated Detection & Human Review

Vibble uses a combination of AI detection and human review to classify sensitive media:

  • Computer vision models detect nudity, violence, and graphic injuries.
  • Signals from user reports and engagement patterns may trigger elevated review.
  • Human reviewers make contextual decisions in borderline or high-impact cases.

In case of conflict between AI signals and human judgment, human review prevails.

7. Age Restrictions & Distribution Controls

Where lawful and technically feasible, Vibble may:

  • Limit certain sensitive media to users above a specified age threshold.
  • Exclude sensitive media from “For You” style recommendations, top trends, or discovery modules.
  • Prevent embedding or sharing into regions where local law prohibits such content.

8. User Controls & Reporting

Users can:

  • Enable stricter content filters in their settings.
  • Report any media they believe is misclassified or violates policy.
  • Block or mute accounts that repeatedly share disturbing or abusive content.

9. Enforcement & Penalties

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Removal of individual images or videos.
  • Automatic blurring and labeling of content.
  • Temporary posting restrictions or feature limitations.
  • Account suspension or permanent ban for repeated or severe violations.
