Fake Account & Misrepresentation Policy

Fake accounts and misrepresentation undermine trust, safety, and authentic interaction. Friendium is designed around real people and genuine relationships. This policy exists to:

• Prevent abuse, scams, and coordinated inauthentic behavior

2. Definition of Fake Accounts

A fake account is any account that does not represent a real, identifiable individual or legitimate entity operating transparently on Friendium.

Examples include:

• Accounts created using false names or fabricated identities
• Accounts impersonating real individuals, brands, or organizations
• Automated or scripted accounts posing as humans
• Accounts created solely to deceive, manipulate, or mislead others
• Multiple accounts created to evade enforcement actions

3. Misrepresentation & Deceptive Practices

Misrepresentation occurs when an account intentionally provides false or misleading information about its identity, affiliation, or purpose.

• Claiming false professional credentials or affiliations
• Pretending to represent a business, public figure, or institution
• Using misleading profile photos or stolen images
• Misstating age, identity, or relationship status to deceive
• False claims of authority, endorsements, or verification

4. Prohibited Account Behaviors

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Operating multiple fake or deceptive accounts
• Buying, selling, or transferring accounts
• Account farming or mass account creation
• Using accounts for scams, phishing, or fraud
• Engaging in coordinated inauthentic activity

5. Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior

Friendium prohibits coordinated efforts to manipulate conversations, metrics, or user perceptions through fake or deceptive accounts.

• Artificial amplification of posts or profiles
• Coordinated harassment or influence campaigns
• Use of networks of fake accounts
• Misleading political, commercial, or social campaigns

6. Detection & Monitoring

Friendium employs a combination of automated systems and human review to detect fake and deceptive accounts, including:

• Behavioral pattern analysis
• Account creation and activity signals
• Network and interaction analysis
• User reports and safety escalations
• Identity verification triggers

7. Enforcement Actions

Accounts found to violate this policy may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

• Content removal or visibility limitation
• Account warnings or temporary restrictions
• Mandatory identity verification
• Account suspension or permanent removal
• Device, IP, or network-level enforcement

8. Zero-Tolerance Scenarios

Friendium applies immediate and permanent removal for:

• Large-scale fake account networks
• Financial fraud, scams, or impersonation
• Election interference or civic manipulation
• Child exploitation or grooming activities

9. Appeals & Review

Users may appeal enforcement decisions if they believe an error has occurred. Appeals require cooperation with identity verification where applicable.

Repeated or abusive appeals may result in appeal privilege limitations.
