Appeals System

The Vexor Appeals System ensures fair, transparent, and accountable review of moderation decisions. This page outlines how appeals work, what qualifies for review, acceptable evidence, processing timelines, and what outcomes you can expect.

1. Introduction

Vexor is committed to upholding a fair, unbiased, and rights-respecting enforcement system. We recognize that human and automated moderation systems may occasionally err, and the Appeals System exists to ensure corrective action when appropriate. Every appeal is reviewed by trained human specialists, supported by escalation pathways and quality-assurance procedures.

Appeals support compliance with international regulations including the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), the UK Online Safety Act, and global due-process standards.

2. What You Can Appeal

You may submit an appeal when you believe a moderation or enforcement decision was incorrect.

  • Content removals (videos, comments, messages, audio, profile elements)
  • Community Guideline warnings or strike assignments
  • Temporary suspensions or permanent account bans
  • Shadowbans or visibility reductions
  • Demonetization or removal from creator monetization programs
  • Advertising restrictions or rejected ad campaigns
  • Incorrect age-restrictions or sensitive content filters
  • Misinformation labels applied in error
  • Automated enforcement actions requiring human confirmation

Appeals must demonstrate a reasonable belief that the decision was incorrect, misinterpreted, lacking context, or triggered by an AI false positive.

3. What Cannot Be Appealed

For legal, safety, and compliance reasons, the following decisions are not eligible for appeal:

  • Confirmed child safety violations (CSAM, grooming, exploitation)
  • Verified illegal content as defined by local and international law
  • Multiple confirmed hate-speech or harassment violations with clear evidence
  • Valid DMCA takedowns (unless a DMCA counter-notice is filed)
  • Decisions directly requested by law enforcement or regulators
  • Accounts banned for proven monetization fraud or financial misconduct
  • Attempts to appeal actions taken against coordinated abusive networks

4. How to Submit an Appeal

Appeals may be submitted directly through the Vexor app or via email. Submissions must include all relevant details to ensure a complete and efficient review.

Required Information:

  • Your full name and Vexor username
  • The enforcement action you are challenging
  • Date and time of the action or notification
  • Relevant content links (video URL, message ID, profile link)
  • A clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect
  • Any evidence supporting your claim (screenshots, context, permissions, licenses)

Appeals Email: appeals@vexor.to

5. Types of Evidence Accepted

To ensure accuracy, appeals should include evidence illustrating context, ownership, or system error. Accepted evidence includes:

  • Copyright ownership documentation or licensing agreements
  • Screenshots or video showing full context
  • Proof content is educational, journalistic, satirical, or documentary
  • Verification of consent for featured individuals
  • Evidence disproving automated detection (e.g., false hate-speech flag)
  • Proof of mistaken identity or incorrect account linkage

6. Review Timeline

Review times depend on case type, volume, and complexity:

  • Content removals: 24–72 hours
  • Shadowban / Visibility Issues: 3–7 business days
  • Monetization appeals: 5–14 business days
  • Permanent bans: 7–21 business days
  • Advertiser appeals: 3–10 business days

Complex cases may require additional time. Users may be contacted for supplemental evidence or clarification.

7. Appeal Outcomes

Your appeal may result in one of the following decisions:

  • Approved — Action Reversed: Content restored, strike removed, ban lifted, or monetization reinstated.
  • Partially Approved: Some restrictions removed; others upheld.
  • Denied: Enforcement upheld due to clear policy violation.
  • Escalated: Case routed to senior policy teams for advanced review.

8. Repeated or Abusive Appeals

Abuse of the appeals process undermines platform integrity. The following may result in penalties or restricted access to appeals:

  • Submitting multiple appeals after final denial
  • Providing falsified or manipulated evidence
  • Submitting abusive or threatening messages to staff
  • Using automation, bots, or scripts to submit appeals

9. Appeals for Minors & Parental Oversight

For users aged 13–17, appeals may require parental or guardian involvement. Vexor may request:

  • Proof of parental consent
  • Identity verification documentation
  • Additional context regarding safety concerns

Child safety incidents take precedence over appeal eligibility.

10. Legal & Compliance Restrictions

Appeals cannot overturn decisions tied to:

  • Government-mandated content removals
  • Verified law enforcement investigations
  • Legally valid DMCA takedowns (requires counter-notice)
  • Confirmed platform security violations or fraud

11. Data Privacy in Appeals

All appeal data is processed under strict privacy rules aligned with GDPR, CCPA, and internal access controls. Only authorized personnel may view supporting evidence or account details.
