ReelCiety CSAM Response Policy

This Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) Response Policy describes ReelCiety’s zero-tolerance approach to child exploitation, the detection and removal of CSAM, mandatory reporting obligations, and cooperation with global law enforcement and child-protection authorities.

1. Zero-Tolerance Commitment

ReelCiety maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), grooming behavior, sexual exploitation of minors, or any content that endangers children. Such conduct is strictly prohibited under ReelCiety policies and applicable law. Any confirmed violation results in immediate enforcement actions, including permanent account termination and legal escalation.

2. Definition of CSAM

CSAM includes any visual, audio, textual, or digital content that depicts, promotes, encourages, or facilitates sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Images or videos of sexual acts involving minors.
  • Sexualized images of minors, including partially clothed or suggestive depictions.
  • Grooming communications intended to exploit a child.
  • Requests for sexual content involving minors.
  • Links, hashes, or instructions to obtain CSAM.

3. Detection & Proactive Prevention

ReelCiety employs multiple layers of safeguards to detect and prevent CSAM, including:

  • Automated detection systems and AI-based classifiers.
  • Hash-matching technologies aligned with industry standards.
  • Behavioral analysis to identify grooming patterns.
  • Human review by trained child-safety specialists.

4. User Reporting of CSAM

Any user may report suspected CSAM using ReelCiety’s in-app reporting tools or dedicated safety channels. Reports involving potential child exploitation are prioritized and immediately escalated for review.

5. Review & Escalation Process

When CSAM is suspected:

  • The content is immediately restricted or removed from public access.
  • The account is locked pending investigation.
  • Evidence is preserved in accordance with legal requirements.
  • The case is escalated to the Child Safety Operations team.

6. Mandatory Reporting Obligations

ReelCiety complies with all mandatory reporting laws. Confirmed CSAM is reported to appropriate authorities, which may include:

  • National child protection hotlines.
  • Cybercrime or specialized law enforcement units.
  • International coordination bodies where applicable.

7. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

ReelCiety cooperates fully with lawful requests from authorized law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation crimes. Data disclosures are limited to what is legally required and handled in accordance with privacy and data-protection laws.

8. Account Enforcement Actions

Accounts involved in CSAM are subject to:

  • Immediate and permanent termination.
  • Removal of all associated content.
  • Blocking of related accounts or devices.
  • Referral to law enforcement authorities.

9. Appeals & Reinstatement

Due to the severity of CSAM violations, accounts terminated for confirmed child exploitation are not eligible for reinstatement. Appeals are only considered in cases of demonstrable error and are reviewed with heightened scrutiny.

10. Staff Training & Safeguards

ReelCiety provides specialized training to moderation and safety teams handling CSAM, including trauma-informed practices, legal obligations, and secure evidence handling.

11. Data Retention & Evidence Preservation

Evidence related to CSAM is preserved only as long as required by law and handled under strict access controls. Unauthorized access or misuse of such data is prohibited.

12. Continuous Improvement

ReelCiety regularly reviews and updates its child-safety systems, collaborates with industry partners, and adopts evolving best practices to combat online child exploitation.

13. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, technology, or child-protection standards. Updates will be published with an effective date.
