Friendium Community Moderation Tools Policy

This policy defines the governance, responsibilities, limitations, and enforcement standards associated with Community Moderation Tools on Friendium. These tools empower group administrators, page managers, and event hosts to maintain safe, lawful, and respectful spaces while preserving platform-wide integrity and legal compliance.

1. Purpose and Governance Model

Friendium enables community-driven moderation to support scalable trust, safety, and engagement across Groups, Pages, and Events. Community Moderation Tools are provided to assist local governance while ensuring alignment with Friendium’s global rules and Nexa-Group’s legal obligations.

These tools do not replace Friendium’s centralized enforcement systems. Ultimate authority remains with Friendium and Nexa-Group.

2. Scope of Community Moderation Tools

Community Moderation Tools may include, but are not limited to:

  • Member approval and removal controls
  • Post and comment review queues
  • Keyword and content filters
  • Temporary or permanent member restrictions
  • Role assignment and permission management
  • Event participation controls

3. Eligibility and Role Definitions

Only authorized users may access moderation tools. Roles include:

  • Admins: Full control over moderation, membership, and settings
  • Moderators: Limited enforcement authority as delegated by Admins
  • Editors / Hosts: Content management without enforcement powers

All role assignments are logged and auditable.

4. Administrator Responsibilities

Administrators are responsible for ensuring their communities comply with:

  • Friendium Community Standards
  • All applicable local and international laws
  • Child safety and exploitation prevention rules
  • Anti-harassment and non-discrimination standards

Failure to actively moderate may result in enforcement action against the community or its leadership.

5. Prohibited Use of Moderation Tools

Moderation tools must not be used to:

  • Silence lawful dissent or criticism
  • Enable harassment, targeting, or exclusion
  • Coordinate harmful or illegal activities
  • Manipulate public discourse or elections
  • Evade Friendium enforcement systems

6. Transparency and Fairness Expectations

Communities are encouraged to publish clear rules and enforcement guidelines. Select moderation actions may be visible to affected users, including:

  • Reason for removal or restriction
  • Duration of penalties
  • Available appeal options

7. Automation, Filters, and AI Assistance

Automated moderation features may be offered to assist with scale and safety. These systems:

  • Operate as decision-support tools
  • May produce false positives or negatives
  • Do not override Friendium global enforcement

Administrators remain accountable for outcomes.

8. Reporting to Friendium

Moderators and admins are encouraged to escalate serious issues, including:

  • Credible threats of violence
  • Child exploitation indicators
  • Terrorism or organized crime signals
  • Large-scale harassment or abuse campaigns

9. Abuse of Moderation Authority

Friendium monitors for misuse of moderation tools. Abuse may result in:

  • Removal of moderator or admin privileges
  • Suspension or termination of accounts
  • Removal of Groups, Pages, or Events
  • Permanent bans in severe cases

10. Appeals and Oversight

Users may appeal community-level moderation actions. Friendium reserves the right to:

  • Override local decisions
  • Restore content or membership
  • Impose additional enforcement

11. Legal and Compliance Obligations

Community leaders must comply with data protection, anti-discrimination, and online safety laws applicable in their jurisdiction.

Friendium may disable tools or communities to comply with legal obligations.

12. Data Logging and Auditability

Moderation actions may be logged for:

  • Safety investigations
  • Legal compliance
  • Transparency reporting
  • Abuse prevention

13. Limitation of Liability

Community moderation tools are provided “as-is.” Friendium and Nexa-Group are not liable for decisions made by community administrators.

Users remain responsible for their conduct within communities.

14. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, technology, or platform operations. Continued use of moderation tools constitutes acceptance of updates.
