Commenting & Reply Conduct Rules

1. Purpose & Platform Values

Friendium’s commenting and reply features are designed to encourage healthy discussion, respectful disagreement, and meaningful social interaction between real people. These rules exist to protect users from harassment, hostility, intimidation, and coordinated abuse while preserving freedom of expression within responsible limits.

Because Friendium prioritizes real-identity participation, conduct standards are intentionally higher than those of anonymous platforms.

2. Scope of Application

This policy applies to all:

• Comments on posts, photos, videos, and shared content
• Replies within comment threads
• Mentions and tagged responses
• Threaded discussions and nested replies
• Reactions and contextual commentary

3. Expectations for Civil Discourse

Users are expected to engage respectfully, even in disagreement. Acceptable conduct includes:

• Constructive criticism
• Good-faith debate
• Expressing disagreement without personal attacks
• Respecting differing viewpoints and lived experiences

4. Prohibited Commenting Behavior

The following behaviors are prohibited in comments and replies:

• Personal attacks, insults, or humiliation
• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
• Hate speech or discriminatory language
• Threats of violence or encouragement of harm
• Sexual harassment or degrading remarks
• Targeted abuse toward individuals or groups

5. Reply Harassment & Pile-On Behavior

Coordinated or excessive replying intended to overwhelm, silence, or intimidate another user is not allowed. This includes:

• Dogpiling and mass-reply harassment
• Encouraging others to attack a user
• Repeated hostile replies across multiple posts
• Quoting content for the purpose of ridicule or abuse

6. Contextual Abuse & Tone

Friendium evaluates comments in context. Even content without explicit slurs may violate this policy if:

• It is clearly intended to demean or provoke
• It targets a person’s identity or vulnerability
• It forms part of a sustained pattern of abuse

7. Mentions & Tagging Conduct

Mentions should be used responsibly. Misuse includes:

• Tagging users to provoke harassment
• Dragging unrelated users into conflicts
• Repeatedly mentioning a user after being asked to stop

8. Political, Social & Sensitive Topics

Discussions involving politics, religion, health, or social issues must remain respectful. The following are not permitted:

• Incitement against protected groups
• Dehumanizing language
• Celebrating harm, death, or tragedy

9. Spam, Low-Quality & Disruptive Replies

Comments that degrade conversation quality may be restricted, including:

• Repetitive copy-paste comments
• Link dumping or promotional spam
• Emoji flooding or meaningless replies
• Engagement bait or manipulation

10. Protection of Minors

Comments involving minors are subject to heightened scrutiny. Prohibited behavior includes:

• Sexualized comments involving minors
• Harassment or bullying of underage users
• Encouraging self-harm or dangerous behavior

11. User Controls for Comments

Friendium provides tools allowing users to:

• Delete comments on their own posts
• Restrict who can comment
• Mute specific users
• Block users entirely
• Filter comments by keywords

12. Reporting Comments & Replies

Users may report individual comments or entire threads. Reports may be reviewed using:

• Automated detection systems
• Human moderation teams
• Behavioral pattern analysis

13. Enforcement Actions

Violations of these rules may result in:

• Comment removal
• Temporary commenting restrictions
• Feature limitations
• Account suspension or termination

14. Repeat & Escalated Violations

Users who repeatedly violate commenting rules may face escalating penalties, including permanent removal from the platform.

15. Transparency & Fairness

Friendium strives to apply these rules consistently and proportionally, taking into account context, intent, and harm caused.

16. Legal Considerations

Comments that violate applicable laws may be removed and referred to relevant authorities in accordance with Friendium’s legal obligations.

17. Policy Updates

These rules may evolve as new interaction patterns, risks, or regulatory requirements emerge.
