How to delete or deactivate your account

Managing account status and lifecycle on ReelCiety

ReelCiety provides users with options to deactivate or permanently delete their account. These options allow users to control their presence on the platform in accordance with personal preference and applicable data protection laws.

Deactivation and deletion have different effects on account visibility, data retention, and future access. Users are encouraged to review the distinctions carefully before proceeding.

Deactivating Your Account

Deactivation temporarily disables your ReelCiety account without permanently removing it. While deactivated, your profile and content may no longer be visible to other users, and you will not be able to access platform features.

Deactivated accounts can generally be reactivated by signing back in, subject to platform rules and verification requirements.

Deleting Your Account

Account deletion is a permanent action that initiates the removal of your account from ReelCiety. Once deletion is completed, you will no longer be able to access your account.

Deletion requests may be subject to a confirmation or waiting period to prevent accidental or unauthorized account removal.

How to Delete or Deactivate Your Account

To manage your account status:

1. Sign in to your ReelCiety account.
2. Click your profile photo in the top-right corner.
3. Select your username from the dropdown menu.
4. Open Profile Settings.
5. Navigate to the Privacy & Data section.
6. Select the option to deactivate or delete your account.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your choice.

What Happens to Your Data

When you deactivate or delete your account, ReelCiety handles personal data in accordance with applicable laws, platform policies, and legitimate operational needs.

Certain data may be retained for limited periods where required for legal compliance, safety, dispute resolution, or enforcement of platform policies. Other data may be removed or anonymized as part of the deletion process.

Important Considerations

• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once completed.
• You may lose access to content, connections, and account history.
• Some information may remain visible if shared by other users.
• Active subscriptions or transactions may need to be resolved before deletion.

Verification and Security

For security reasons, ReelCiety may require account verification before processing deactivation or deletion requests. This helps prevent unauthorized account removal.
