Captioning & Alt-Text Requirements
These requirements ensure all media on Vibble is accessible to users with visual or hearing impairments. This includes captions, subtitles, transcripts, and alternative text.
1. Alt-Text for Images
All images uploaded to Vibble should include descriptive alt-text that communicates the essential visual information. Creators must avoid vague descriptions and focus on meaningful context.
- Describe people, objects, and actions
- Include relevant emotional or situational context
- Avoid overly long or irrelevant descriptions
2. Video Captions
All videos should include captions when speech is present:
- Accurate transcription of spoken words
- Identification of speakers where needed
- Descriptions of essential non-speech sounds
3. Auto-Captioning
Vibble may provide auto-generated captions for convenience; creators are responsible for reviewing and correcting inaccuracies, especially for sensitive, educational, or professional content.
4. Live Audio & Spaces Requirements
- Live captioning where technically feasible
- Post-event transcripts for recorded Spaces
- Optional AI-generated summaries
5. Accessibility Enforcement
Content lacking required captions or alt-text may be downranked in Explore, hidden from certain user groups, or flagged for corrective action.
