Account Authenticity & Name Policy

This policy defines the rules for account names, usernames, bios, and identity signals to ensure authenticity, prevent confusion, and reduce impersonation risk on Vibble.

1. Authentic Identity Principles

Vibble allows both real-name and pseudonymous participation. However, accounts must not:

  • Pretend to be another real person, brand, or institution without permission.
  • Use names or imagery designed to confuse users about who operates the account.
  • Falsely claim credentials, affiliations, or professional status.

2. Username & Display Name Rules

Usernames (@handle) and display names must not:

  • Contain slurs, hate speech, or explicit incitement.
  • Impersonate official government or corporate handles (e.g., “@RealGovOffice” when not affiliated).
  • Use subtle misspellings or added characters designed to mimic another user (“@officialvibble” vs. “@0fficialvibble”).
  • Include misleading titles like “Support”, “Help Center”, or “Official” unless authorized.

3. Profile Photos & Branding

Profile images must not:

  • Use official logos of companies or institutions without authorization.
  • Use photos of real individuals without consent in a way that suggests identity ownership.
  • Combine branding elements (e.g., checkmarks, badges) to simulate verification.

4. Biography & Affiliation Claims

Bios and affiliation fields must represent accurate information. Prohibited behaviors include:

  • Claiming employment or positions at organizations where you do not work.
  • Falsely claiming to be an official spokesperson or representative.
  • Using links or contact details that mislead users into phishing or scams.

5. Reserved & Protected Names

Vibble may reserve certain usernames or designations for:

  • Official Vibble and Nexa Group services.
  • Critical infrastructure accounts (e.g., emergency, law enforcement, crisis centers).
  • Verified organizations or government agencies.

6. Name & Handle Changes

Significant changes to account names or handles by verified or high-reach accounts may trigger additional checks or temporary restrictions to:

  • Prevent sudden impersonation or brand hijacking.
  • Ensure followers are not misled about new identity or purpose.

7. Enforcement & Corrections

If an account violates this policy, Vibble may:

  • Require updates to name, handle, or profile info.
  • Place warnings or temporary limitations on the account.
  • Remove verification badges or apply impersonation penalties.
  • Suspend the account for repeated or severe misrepresentation.
