DMCA Takedown Policy

1. Legal Basis & Scope

ReelCiety complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and analogous international copyright frameworks. This Policy establishes a legally compliant notice-and-takedown system to protect copyright holders while preserving lawful expression.

This Policy applies to all users, creators, organizations, advertisers, developers, and third parties who upload, share, or distribute content through ReelCiety.

2. Designated DMCA Agent

Pursuant to the DMCA, Nexa-Group has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement.

3. What Constitutes Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement occurs when copyrighted material is reproduced, distributed, publicly displayed, or performed without authorization from the copyright owner or a valid legal exception.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

• Uploading copyrighted photos or videos without permission
• Using licensed music without rights or attribution
• Reposting protected content scraped from other platforms
• Uploading full movies, shows, or clips without authorization

4. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

Copyright owners or authorized agents may submit a DMCA takedown notice. To be valid, a notice must include all of the following:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
• Identification of the infringing material and its location on ReelCiety
• Name, address, phone number, and email of the complaining party
• A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or agent

5. Processing of Takedown Requests

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, ReelCiety may:

• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
• Notify the user who uploaded the content
• Record the action for repeat-infringer tracking

ReelCiety does not adjudicate ownership disputes and acts as a neutral intermediary in accordance with safe harbor provisions.

6. User Notification

When content is removed under this Policy, the affected user will be notified and provided information regarding the takedown and their right to submit a counter-notification.

7. Counter-Notification Process

If a user believes content was removed due to mistake or misidentification, they may submit a counter-notification containing:

• Identification of the removed content
• A statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
• Consent to jurisdiction of the appropriate courts
• User’s name, address, phone number, and signature

8. Restoration of Content

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, ReelCiety may restore the content unless the copyright owner files a court action within the statutory timeframe.

9. Repeat Infringer Policy

ReelCiety enforces a strict repeat-infringer policy. Users who repeatedly upload infringing content may face:

• Progressive account restrictions
• Loss of monetization or features
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination

10. Abuse of the DMCA Process

Submitting false, misleading, or abusive DMCA notices or counter-notices may result in legal liability and platform enforcement actions.

11. No Legal Advice

ReelCiety does not provide legal advice. Users are responsible for understanding their rights and obligations under copyright law.

12. International Considerations

While the DMCA is a U.S. statute, ReelCiety applies equivalent procedures globally where required by international copyright treaties and local law.

13. Policy Updates

Nexa-Group may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or platform operations. Continued use of ReelCiety constitutes acceptance.
