Synthetic Media & AI-Manipulated Content Policy

This policy defines how Vexor regulates AI-generated content, deepfakes, voice cloning, and other forms of synthetic media. The goal is to support creative expression while preventing deception, harassment, impersonation, and harmful misuse of emerging technologies.

1. Definition of Synthetic Media

“Synthetic Media” refers to any video, audio, image, or text content that is wholly or partially produced, altered, or enhanced using artificial intelligence systems. This includes:

  • Deepfake videos and face-swapped content
  • AI-generated or cloned voices
  • Digitally fabricated avatars or characters modeled after real people
  • AI-generated photos or imagery resembling real individuals
  • Heavily altered media where AI significantly modifies reality

Synthetic media is allowed on Vexor only when clearly disclosed and not used for deception, harm, or exploitation.

2. Disclosure Requirements

To maintain transparency and prevent misleading content, creators must:

  • Clearly label content that uses AI-generated or heavily manipulated media.
  • Use in-app disclosure tools where available (e.g., “AI-generated,” “synthetic content”).
  • Avoid presenting AI-created content as authentic when it could mislead viewers.

Vexor may automatically apply disclosure labels when detection systems confirm the presence of synthetic media. Failure to disclose may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Reduced visibility (down-ranking)
  • Account warnings or restrictions

3. Prohibited Uses of Synthetic Media

Creators may NOT use synthetic media to:

  • Impersonate private individuals without explicit consent
  • Exploit, sexualize, or endanger real people — especially minors
  • Spread false or harmful medical, crisis, or safety information
  • Promote violence, hate, harassment, or targeted manipulation
  • Create deceptive narratives intended to mislead the public
  • Fabricate evidence in disputes, allegations, or personal conflicts
  • Generate deepfake pornography or non-consensual explicit imagery

Violations may result in immediate removal, strikes, or permanent account bans depending on severity.

4. Public Figures & Sensitive Topics

Synthetic media involving public figures must follow enhanced safety rules:

  • Deepfakes of public figures must be clearly satirical, parodic, or transformative.
  • No misleading depictions of political candidates, leaders, or election officials.
  • No fabricated statements or actions that could influence civic processes.
  • No synthetic media intended to incite public harm, panic, or unrest.

Political deepfakes or realistic impersonations without disclosure are strictly prohibited.

5. Detection & Enforcement

Vexor uses a combination of automated classifiers, forensic analysis, and human review to detect AI-manipulated content. Enforcement actions may include:

  • Disclosure labels added automatically
  • Reduced distribution to limit reach
  • Content removal for harmful or deceptive synthetic media
  • Warnings, strikes, or suspension for repeated violations
  • Permanent bans for severe misuse, impersonation, or exploitation

In cases involving minors, violence, or illegal manipulation, Vexor may escalate the incident to law enforcement or child safety authorities.
